Club Gatineau has a main lodge where the owners live, plus 5 cabins available for the guests to rent. All the place is completely self-sufficient from external supply of electricity or heat. The winter is tough and if you’re not ready in time, you can experience some bad surprises 🙂

So, here we are, filling the truck with wood to then distribute it all in the 5 cabins for the guests to have enough firewood for the whole Winter. It takes about one full truck for each cabin.

En plus du chalet principal, il y a en tout 5 chalets au Club Gatineau. Le domaine est complètement autonome du point de vue électricité et chauffage. L’hiver est dur dans le Nord et si on ne se prépare pas d’avance, on risque d’avoir de mauvaises surprises 🙂

Nous sommes donc en train de remplir la boite du pick-up avec du bois de chauffage pour faire la distibution des buches dans les 5 chalets pour que les clients aient assez de bois pour tout l’hiver. Ça prend un pick-up plein pour chaque chalet.

Google flights: a very useful tool

It is a well designed and very useful tool to compare airfares and get the best deals out there. It allows you to compare prices on different travel dates and also to different destinations.

Choose your departure and arrival cities (example Montreal and Cancún), one-way or round trip and randomly choose a departure date.  Select the graphic display in the right upper corner to get all prices in a 2 months time line, each blue column representing a different day and a flight price.
